Itinerary:

Day 1: Huanghuacheng Great Wall - Xishuiyu (L/D)

Your tour guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel in the morning (7:00 am in summer and autumn; 8:00 am in spring and winter), it takes about 1.5 hours to Huanghuacheng Great Wall.

After we see the beautiful dam of Huanghuacheng Reservoir at the foot of the Great Wall, take some good photos first, and then we start the hike from Tenglong Restaurant & Lodge which is built on the mountain and climb about 20 minutes we will get to Huanghuacheng Great Wall. At first we will hike the wall which is restored by local government and we will hike along the restored wall with about 1 hour, then we will pass through Zhuangdaokou Pass which is the border between the restored Great Wall and unrestored wild Great Wall. After Zhuangdaokou Pass, we will take about 2.5 hours hike along the wild wall and finish the hiking at Xishuiyu where is close to the lake. That’s why this section is also called Lakeside Great Wall. We will pass through about 20 towers on the Great Wall for the whole hike.

The hiking time is about 4 hours and the hiking distance is about 8 km (5 mils).

Then the guide and driver take you to have lunch. After lunch, drive to Gubeikou village.

Sleep in Haowanglou Tower on Gubeikou Great Wall for overnight.

We'll prepare the necessary camping facilities such as tents, sleeping bags, etc. You don’t need to prepare anything for the camping.

Day 2: Gubeikou-Jinshanling Great Wall (B/L/D)

Wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise. After breakfast (you could have breakfast in Haowanglou Tower or come down from the wall to local inn have breakfast), we start the hike.

We will hike about 11 towers and reach 24 - Window Tower after about 1.5 hours hiking. 24 - Window Tower is the end of Gubeikou Great Wall for this hiking tour. As some parts of Gubeikou Great Wall belong to the army, so we need come down from 24 - Window Tower and go cross the bushes. After about 1.5 hours walking throuth the bushes, farm filed and hilly path, we will get to Jinshanling Great Wall. We will pass through Taochunkou Pass, West Five - Window Tower, Zhuanduokou Pass, etc. We will hike about 1 hour and pass through about 7 towers on Jinshanling section, come down from the Great Wall at Zhuanduokou Pass.
 

Hiking level is about 4 (Max 5).

The hiking time is about 4 hours and the hiking distance is about 10 km (6.2 mils).

Then the guide and driver take you to have lunch. After lunch, transfer back to Gubeikou village.

Stay at local inn in Gubeikou village for overnight.
 

Day 3: Jinshanling Great Wall (B/L)

After breakfast, drive to Jinshanling Great Wall. Today’s hiking begins at around 8:00 am - 9:00 am.
 

You could climb up to the Great Wall or you could take cable car up to the Great Wall. We suggest you climb up to the Great Wall as this section is very easy to hike. We start the hike from Zhuanduokou Pass, we will pass through General Tower, Shalingkou Pass, Small Jinshan Tower, Big Jinshan Tower, Houchuankou Pass, etc, pass over 15 towers (about 5 km) and get to East Five - Window Tower with about 3 hours hiking, come down from the wall at East Five - Window Tower. Or you could just hike about 4 km and get to Houchuankou Pass with about 2 hours hike, come down at Houchuankou Pass.
 

Hiking level is about 3 (Max 5).

The hiking time is about 2-3 hours and the hiking distance is about 4-5 km (2.5-3.1 mils).

Then the guide and driver take you to have lunch. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel in Beijing downtown.

Important Notice:
1. Please take Hiking boots, sticks or trekking sticks, backpack, sun-glasses, sunscreen, snacks, camera for this hiking tour.

2. The traveler whose body is not fit for the hiking such as arthritis, heart disease, hypertension, asthma, and the traveler who are drunk are not recommended to take this tour.

3. Don’t take baby less than 3 years old for this tour, and the traveler who are more than 80 years old are not recommended to take this tour.

4. Do not wear short pants.

5. Please go to toilet at the entrance of the wall before the hiking, there is no toilet on the Wall. Please carry toilet paper by yourself always.
6. This tour is not available under the following weather condition: Rain, Snow, Strong Wind, etc.
